Sufi Hazrath Kahiri

HOLY HISTORY OF SOOFI HAZRATH:
 
     He was born in Hijri 1322. His holy parents were C.A.K.Ahamed Muhyideen – Muhammed Ibrahim Nachi. He was the last child of his parents.  He was the 39th from the chain of Siddiqul Akbar Sayyidina  Hazrath Abu backer Siddiq  raliyallahu tha aalaa anhu.

EDUCATION:
  Shayk’s parents wanted to make son hafilul – Quran. So they joined their son in hifl madarasa in Kayalpatnam. But Shaykh wanted to become ‘Aalim’ because he Aalim had much respect in the society than hafiz so he lacked interest in hifz. Parents accepted the desire of Shaihuna but they wanted their son to study in native place only. Shaihuna did not accept parent’s desire he wanted to study only in outer place away from home so he stopped his hifz with 8 ‘Ziju’.
 
During this time famous Quadiriya thariqa Shaykh Assayidus Saadath Lia-Ul- Haq Soofi Hazrath visited Kayalpatnam from Hyderabad,India. He was a holy saint many people visited and fulfilled their desires from holy the saint. On learning that our Soofi Hazrath had the strong desire to aquire ilm  Shaykh Lia-Ul-Haq Sufi  convinced the parents of Soofi Hazrath and got the permission of his parents to study from a place away from home town. The parents  accepted the descision of  Shaykh Lia-ul-Haq Sufi they made a send off to Soofi Hazrath with love from Kayalpatnam. When many people got baiath from Liaul – Haq – Soofi Hazrath, Shaykh also asked for baiath.Shaykh Lia-ul-Haq Sufi said, you will get baiath from a holy person who is better than me, please wait time will come.
 
Shaykh Lia-ul-Haq Sufi had foreseen that Shaykh was going to get baiath and khilafath from Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath. Soofi Hazrath with his friend Hassan Moulana joined in Jamaliya Arabic College,Chennai respected Madhar Sahib Aalim was the principal of that college. Later he left the college in pursuit of higher studies and joined Muhammadiyee Arabic college in Podakudi Asikur rasool kansuddakayigu Shaihul Kamil Abdul karim kuddisa siruhu was the principal there Shaihuna became the beloved student of Abdul Karim Hazrath when he was studying in madarasa he was very talented well disciplined and good mannered he became the best student every year.
During that time there was no system of issuing to the Aalim Sanad in earlier times.After the demise of  Hazrath Abdul Kareem  giving sanad was introduced in hijri 1345.So old student like Shaihuna received his sanad moulavi Aalim fazil noori from principal Muhammed Abdur Rahman ibnu Muhammed.
 
AHAMED MEERAN SOOFI ALIAS VELLI AALIM:
 
He was the son of Muhammed thamby Aalim hajiar – mariyam umma from katthan kudi srilanka he also joined in podakudi madarasa after Soofi Hazrath studied one year. They too became close friends. Though Ahamed Aeeran Soofi velli Aalim was older them Soofi Hazrath, they became good friends both has same interests. They became brothers they too had same taste in acquiring spiritual knowledge. Good people only knew good people one spiritual person only know another spiritual person and understand the secrets. Allah made this two very close because he knew that they too would go to samsiyabath and they would get “Khilafath”, from Muhammed Abdul qader kuddisa siruhu. Ahamed meeran Soofi married Zainabu umma the holy daughter of arutkavi abdur rahman Aalim they had good life for many years. He passed away on October 2 Sunday night after isha in 1952, innalillahi WA inna iilaihi rajioon. He was buried in his home itself.
 
Shaykhuna had finished his Aalim degree but his friend Ahamed Meeran Soofi had one more year to finish. Shaykhuna did not want to part with his friend. Shaykhuna had the desire that he wanted to be in service to Abdul Karim Hazrath, he also wanted to study spiritual book Fususal Hikam from Abdul Karim Hazrath. Abdul karim Hazrath understood the inner desire of Shaykhuna so he appointed Shaihuna as his assistant when Abdul karim Hazrath was absent (or) busy Shaykhuna would teach  to the  students. Abdul  Karim Hazrath gave permission to Shaykhuna to stay in his room Shaihuna got the great chance to serve Abdul Karim Hazrath and quenched his spiritual thrist from him.
 
Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath:
 
When Shaykhuna was under the service of Shaykhuna Abdul karim Hazrath, Chennai Jamaliya Arabic college president Muhammed Madar Sahib passed away. So Abdul karim Hazrath and Shaykhuna went to the ziyarath of Madar Sahib Soofi during this time Imamul Arifeen, Sulthanul Vayileen, Bahrul Hakayiqu Vadayiqu Rayisul Majadeep Shah Muhammed Abdul Quadir kuddisa siruhu stayed in Chennai. So Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath was invited by Abdul karim Hazrath to vsisit the madrassa in Podakkudi .On hearing this Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath accepted the proposal. He was also the khalifa of Hyderabad spiritual giant Shah Waliullah dihlavi rahmathullahi alaihi he also gave baiath to the many Islamic personalities in TamilNadu.


Following are the some of the persons who received baiath from the Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath.
 
  • Former principal of Chennai Jamaliya Arabic college Moulana Moulavi Madar Sahib Aalim
  • Former principal of Vellore baakiyathus salihath Arabic college Moulana Moulavi Abdul jaffer Aalim Leader of Indian union Muslim league Quaide – millet Muhammed Ismail Sahib.
  • Dindugal Moulana Moulavi Ameer Batcha Aalim,
  • Founder of South India Ishathul Islam association and tenkasi stage leader Abdur Rahman Sahib Tanjore district Kodikalpalayam A.T. Abdul Majeed Soofi.
 
Allama Abdul Jabaar Aalim translated the book ‘Alhaq’, which is in the form of question answer into Arabic. He also wrote the Arabic baith in praise of Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath a ‘ala ayyahas saihul vali’….
In that Arabic baith he praised Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath the great Saihu valiullah; you are the unequal completed well lighted sun among the religious scholars; you are the malhar of the mighty Allah. You have the good name of Shaihuna Abdul kader jeelani vali raliyallahu tha aalaa anhu. You gave us many spiritual gifts which cannot be given by the king, the great man and the rich man. ‘All auliyas roohs’ came to you praised Abdul Jabbar Hazrath. Shaykh Bade Sahib alias Quthbul Shaykhu Ahamed Badrudin gave red carpet welcome to our spiritual head in his Chennai house. He enthralled him and said happily ‘You become Qawth, You become Qawth'.


Baiath and Khilafath:


When our Shaykhuna came to know about Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath who is also called as the Junaidul Baghdadi of that times, our Shaykhuna was very interest to see and get baiath from Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath. When Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath came to Podakudi madarasa,Bade Sahub Hazrath informed Abdul Karim Hazrath that ,'Muhiyedeen is coming .Benefit from him' .


Abdul karim Hazrath welcomed him with due respect. He also gave leave to madarasa students. He asked the students to do musahaba to spiritual giant. But Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath came forward and gave musahaba to every individual student .When he came near our Shaykhuna he says in Urdu 'Come to Hyderabad'. Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath knew that Ahamed Meeran Soofi did not know Urdu he asked Ahamed Meeran Soofi “adureedul majee a ila Hyderabad” . Happiest friends accepted the invitation without any hesitation.


When recalling this incident Shaykhuna said, I want to talk to Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath alone’ I also did musahaba with that thinking only. So he also called me to Hyderabad. Some days have passed Shaykhuna and Velli Aalim wrote a letter to Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath and asked when they would come to his holy place he replied “ This door is always open you may come at anytime”. They went to Hyderabad since they did not knew any place in Hyderabad they enquired the police about the residential address of Shaihuna the police himself took them to Shaihuna’s house. They called Hazrath in front of their house Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath gave water to them and said “Wash your hands and come inside”.


They were surprised to see the food on the dining table, because there were tamilnadu food rice in two plates, and rotti in one plate. Hyderabad Hazrath used to eat rotti daily.All the three ate the food. They stayed there for six months they quenched spiritual knowledge from Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath abundantly, finally their stay came to an end. Hazrath gave baiath to them and made blessed them as his khalifa. Hazrath advised them to choose and follow spiritual way than business. Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath gave khilafath and baiath in following thareeqas: Quadiriya, Naqshabandiya, Rifayea, Jisthiya, Mujaddiya through jadubu sulook.


Marriage:


Soofi Hazrath married tholsappu Muhammed Abdullah Nachi on jamathul avval moon 22 Wednesday (15-10-1930) in the hijri 1349 spiritual father of Soofi Hazrath, Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath attended this marriage function Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath said to Shaihuna you have is waiting for you one more garland. Shaihuna and queen Abdullah Nachi couples blessed with a male child.shaihuna named his father’s name ahamed Muhyideen to his newly born male child.


In 1932 Shaykhuna’s first wife passed away peacefully so he married tholsappu Magdoom fathima as foretold by his Shaykh. They had three female children namely, Muhammed Abdullah Nachi, Muhammed Ibrahim Nachi, Muhammed fathima. They were married to katheeb M.S. Ahamed Muhyideen, moulavi w.m.m. seyed Muhammed Aalim bakavi, and o.v. Muhyideen thamby respectively.


Our Shaykhuna second son- in –law one of the khalifa of our Shaykhuna moulavi w.m.m. seyed Muhammed Aalim Bakavi is doing religious services which were done by our Shaykhuna previously in many places. Our Shaykhuna only son ahamed Muhyideen passed away on 24-2-1983 on Thursday night he attained dharul baka heavenly life. Inna iilaihi VA inna alaihi rajioon may Allah forgive his son and give him heavenly life aameen.


Kalwath:


Shaykhuna had done many business it gave benefits only in the beginning but suddenly it gave loss to him during this time his second marriage was held. There was continuous loss in the business so he felt very sad often so he put an end to his business he remembered Hyderabad Soofi Hazrath advice and followed it. He spent all his life in spiritual activities. Soofi Hazrath desired to do “khalwath”. So he went to Ceylon in 1946 to see his spiritual brother srilanka attalachenai Ahamed Meeran Soofi when he reached there he came to know that Ahamed Meera was doing khalwath at the garden in Kirangulam so he went there they were in khalwath for one and half a month later our Shaykhuna visited Kattankudi, Eravoor and Colombo. Then he returned to Kayal for spiritual worldly pleasures are nothing to the man who runs after spiritual knowledge Shaykhuna spent all his time in remembering Allah but he understood that his native place was not suitable place to do khalwath all time. So he left from Kayal without informing family members and others.


Shaykhuna went to the house of Abdul Majeed Soofi, Kodikalpalayam, Tanjore district .He was in khalwath at the garden there for some period. Later he was in khalwath for one year in masjid Meekayil where Madihirrasool Sadakathullah appa rahimahumullahu and Halarath Meekayil Alaihi salaam met and talked together and the stone also shed tears there. In 1949 Shaihuna became imam in Srilanka Semmangotu mosque but only for few months. He thought that this job was an obstacle to pray almighty freely and was a hindrance to do spiritual address to the people. So he resigned his imamath. He went to many places in Srilanka to do spiritual address to clean the impure mind of many people and to make them spiritual.


Murakaba:


Our spiritual forefathers attained good place in God’s place by fasting being sitting alone being awake through Murakaba. Our Shaykh explained about Murakaba in his silsila ‘how to do Murakaba to get greatness’. Thalib when he does not feel hunger, thirst, in empty stomach should  sit in the place where there is no noise after the two third of the night is over. It is better to use the last part of the night to do dihr. Closing our eyes, see the heart point which is below left chest, say Allah by heart if sleep comes we shall say it by words. When we are doing this, we should not concentrate on the word ‘Allah’ counting the breath and counting the numbers. If we do it correctly, we forget ourselves this stage is Murakaba – death stage. We reach ‘Mushada’ after only Murakaba. Mushada comes after only hard work. We can’t get the chance to see ‘seeing something special’ without hard work we should spend must our time in reciting dikr we should spend at least 15 minutes for doing dikr.
Second stage: forgetting ourselves. We can reach this stage by turn concentrating our mind in meditation dikr in all activities like sitting, standing, drinking, eating and other activities. If we concentrate other activities whole heartily it disturbs our mind while we do dikr. Though auliyas spend their time in doing business it. Allah says about the auliyas who are doing business and remember Allah always like this business, giving and taking never takes away from Allah’s thinking. This is the simple and clean definition of Murakaba given by our Shaykh. In 1963 our Shaykh went to holy hajj pilgrimage from Kayalpatnam.
 
Spiritual books:


Our Shaykh often said on many occasions man is like a mirror, if there is dust in the mirror, we can’t see our image dustless mirror disappears if disappears forgets image appears clearly. Like this god never comes to the heart of the man who always boasts himself when Allah chooses Adam as khalifa Allah reveals his ‘Asma’ in him. Allah keeps this character in us also. Allah creates man with this quality if this character comes out this is mukti. When we stop thinking about ourselves we become very close to Allah those who attain Allah means he is an eligible to come out Ashmakkal from him. Shaykh's Sunni Sahihul Aqeetha :
         Our Shaykh followed his spiritual guide absolutely he was a challenging person to non – Ahlusunnah people. He spent more than 50 years to fight against the people who sold their religious faith for selfishness. He showed their real face to all. He took all steps to save our Iman from non – ahlusunnah people. No one can deny our Shayh’s religious service. If people hear the name Soofi Hazrath in Tamilnadu and Ceylon, wahabis, jamae – the – islami, tableeq,deobandi  and other like minded people kept their mouth closed out of fear. Critics, pseudo – religious people non – Ahlusunnah people raised many questions to him and blamed him badly but Shaykh was never afraid of it and faced them bravely.He would love or hate  only for the sake of Allah azzawajal and Rasool Sallalaahu alaihi wasallam.


Our Shaykh established Soofi Manzil in various parts of TamilNadu like Kayalpatnam, Tuticorin, Melapalayam, and in Trivandrum ,Kerala, in many places in Srilanka like Columbo,Eravur,Kalmunai,Akkaraipattru and other places to do dhikr and for true religious service. Our Shaykh had written many Aqeetha books to know about differentiate between Ahlusunnath wal jamath people Aqeeda and non – Ahlusunnath people Aqeeda.

Death:


Our Shaykh was never afraid of any individual power, obstacles, opposition. He never reacts to criticism he taught ideals of Sunnath – wal – jamaath’s imam. He is an icon of Ahlusunnah . On 16-07-1982, in hijri 1402, ramalan moon 24, Friday he refused to give up fasting even though mureedis are asked to give up fasting he passed away with fasting in 16-07-1982, ramalan moon 24, hijri 1402 he received himself from this world and went to enjoy the eternal fruits (inna iilaihi va inna iilaihi rajioon) he lived for eighty years and did religious service. He was always challenging to non – Ahlusunnath people. He did all his religious service all alone it is a wonderful religious service. We have to keep his service in golden words. He was buried in kubbiya vathai graveyard Colombo. Even though he had passed away many years ago his graveyard is always visited by a lot of people every day.


Simple life of Shaykh:


Even though he was very famous he was very humble. He wore white lined lungi, vest, jibba, turkey cap, and chocolate colour shawl. A charming smile always lingered on his face he is a man of good character. People who think highly of our Shaykh are astounded by his simplicity he never showed any difference between rich and the poor, young and the old. He talked with people very sweetly people were very happy and surprised by his sweet address. He lived in a very small room there were two lungis and jibbas. There were some mats but only two pillows, in the corner. There were many books in his room these are only his assets. He was always reading kithabs he always gave Aqeeda lecture to people with vivid evidence.


Praises by Ceylon journals:


The following is a part of an article printed in Ceylon dinakaran in the under the part section “Aalamul Islam” on our Shaihuna’s 40th day qatham ul Quran function this essay clearly depicts the great achievement of our Shaihuna. Muslims those who understands the ayath ‘pasalu ahluddikri in kunthum laa tahulamoon’ which means if you are ignorant please learn from the religious scholars people call our Shaihuna as ‘Shaihu’, Soofi Hazrath whose name is Moulana Moulavi AlAalimul Fazil alHaj Shaykh Abdul Quadir Soofi Siddiqi, Qadiri, Kahiri, Naqshabandi. We never forget the ulamas that came to Ceylon from Tamil nadu and preached about Islamic values. Among these ulama one of the greatest ulamas is Soofi Hazrath kayalpatnam.


Our Shaykh who had done Islamic spiritual service attracted hearts of many Islamic people he is living even today among us. Many srilankan political leaders of different parties, important personalities from many departments and many common people were touched by his spiritual address and become the murideens of our Shaykh . Islamic brothers of Memon community  in Srilanka called our Shaykh as ‘peer baba ’this showed that how much respect and regard their had for our Shaykh .


 Soofi Hazrath gave answers to the following questions with courage and clear evidence. What is tableeq? What is the principle of tableeq? Who is the founder of tableeq? What is the tableeq done by our prophet Muhammed sallallahu Alai hivasallam? What is the difference between today tableeq and our prophet’s tableeq? Even the enemies never refuted his answers.


Shaykh's spiritual training to his disciples is a very notable one like rathib majlis held every week Soofi manzil opened our heart to spiritual ways. The praise given by srilankan newspaper he sowed true Islamic seeds in the heart of the people and that seed sprouted in the heart of people. Shaykh who showed us to get the great life in material and eternal world. Our Shaykh showed the real face of non – Ahlusunna people to all and emphasised the importance of Ahlusunnah Wal Jamaath’s right path.


The light of right path, the great Islamic man, who showed God path, the true follower of sarahu, even though he is not living with, is here, the path showed by him is living among us even today.    


 Ya! Shaykh we pray to the Almighty  we want to follow your path steadfastly and get the blessings of Allah by your waseela
Ya  ! Almighty Allah please forgive our sins and peaceful give is life in this world and the eternal world by our Shaykh's waseela!
